Quality Assurance
The old adage, "You get what you pay for," is certainly true when it comes to Y-Yard automotive parts. Our extensive inventory has been inspected, cleaned, and digitally recorded. And, because the Y-Yard team performs pre- and post-diagnostic scanning upon starting each engine, we're able to find, research, and remedy any codes present. We record video footage of each running engine and test the intact transmission. If applicable, our team performs an electrical check prior to warehousing.
In addition, we also:
- Record video footage of each running engine
- Perform pre-diagnostic scan to identify, research, and resolve any existing codes / issues
- Run VIN for current recalls to prevent recalled parts from being inventoried
- Test transmission while vehicle is running
- Perform electrical check on applicable parts prior to warehousing
- Remove drivetrain pan to inspect oil and gears while also checking for metal shavings
- Extract bolts that may have rusted or seized
- Inventory parts inside, under powerful lighting to thoroughly inspect for possible damage
- Utilize a paint thickness gauge to help identify & inspect any previously repaired product
- Wash and clean all parts prior to sale
